Question 1472) - What is the status of a free adult woman?s marriage if she willingly married without the guardian contracting it?
A: According to Imaam Abu hanifa RAH. the marriage is valid as long as she is a sane adult. According to Imaam Abu yusuf RAH. and Imaam Muhammed RAH. the marriage is not validated without the guardian?s permission.
