The Status of Wudhu and Ghusl When a Person has Fillings in the Teeth

Q: Taharaat-9: To prevent food from getting stuck in cavities and decaying the teeth. dentists fill them with gold, silver. lead, cement and other substances. The question now arises about whether ghusl will be valid if the water does not reach these cavities.

Answer: When a cavity is filled for medical reasons, the substance used to fill the cavity will be regarded as a part of the body and it will suffice for the water to reach the substance. It is not necessary for the water to reach inside the cavity. The Shari'ah has permitted the use of gold and silver to replace body parts (such as noses) and it is obvious that water will not reach beneath these parts. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
