A Fifteen year old Boy as a Mahram

Q: Hajj-17: A woman wishes to fly to Jeddah for Hajj. while her husband will accompany her from Jeddah, her fifteen year old son will accompany her from here to Jeddah. He is a Haafidh and an intelligent child. Can he be her Mahram? Her brother-in-law and his wife will be travelling as well.

Answer: The boy qualifies as a Mahram without any problem. Being someone of sound understanding and a Muraahiq. he is regarded as a person of age.
