Fasting - Ramadan

Q: 27 – Title: Is the use of surma in ramadhaan permissable?

Question

Is the use of surma in ramadhaan permissable?

The reason i ask, is because i put surma in my eyes at night and when i awake the next morning, i find that particles of the surma come out from my mouth and nose. Will these particles of surma from my nose and mouth nullify my fast?

Answer

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

It is permissible to use Surma in Ramadhaan. The particles of Surma that come out from the nose or mouth will not nullify the fast. (Hindiyyah vol.5 pg.274)
