An Imaam who Prolongs the letter 'baa? in the Takbeer

Q: Salaah-712: Our Imaam prolongs the letter 'baa' in the Takbeer and we have now come to know that this nullifies the salaah. This Imaam has been leading the salaah for the past year. From when should we repeat the salaahs?

Answer: The most accepted opinion is that the person who prolongs the letter 'baa' in the word 'Akbar' has not commenced the salaah at all. Therefore, every salaah performed behind the Imaam ought to be repeated. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
