Du'aa after the Jumu'ah salaah

Q: Salaah-692: Can du'aas reported in the Qur'aan and Ahadeeth be added to the du'aa after the Jumu'ah salaah?

Answer: Although du'aas reported in the Qur'aan and Ahadeeth may be added to the du'aa after the Jumu'ah salaah, these need to be brief. It is inappropriate to prolong the du'aa, thereby' tiring people and delaying the Sunnah salaahs because large gatherings usually have many people who are weak, old or who need to return to work. The Imaam needs to bear all of this in mind. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
