Is a Lecture before the Eid salaah Better or the recitation of the Takbeer Tashreeq?

Q: Salaah-729: When a lecture is delivered at the Eid Gah before the Eid salaah, people are unable to recite the Takbeer Tashreeq. Is it better to have a lecture program before the salaah or better to recite the Takbeer Tashreeq?

Answer: It is Mustahab to recite the Takbeer Tashreeq when proceeding to the Eid Gah and when returning. The Takbeer Tashreeq should however be stopped when one arrives at the Eid Gah, though there is no harm in reciting it silently. One may therefore not prevent anyone from reciting it at all. If the lecture program refers to speaking about necessary injunctions of Deen, then this will be best and preferred. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
