Terminating a Nafl Salaah to Join the Janaazah salaah

Q: Jana a'iz-95: A person was performing Nafl salaah when a body ready for the Janaazah salaah was brought. Can he prematurety terminate the Nafl salaah to join the? Janaazah salaah if he fears that he would miss the Jan aazah salaah altogether if he completes the Nafl salaah?

Answer: It is permissible to prematurely terminate the Nafl salaah to join the Janaazah salaah if he fears that he would miss the Janaazah salaah altogether if he completes the Nafl salaah? The Fardh salaah may however not be prematurely terminated for this reason.3 And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
