Question 172) - Besides Fardh, Witr and the above Sunun are there any other Salaats prescribed?

A: Yes, Shari'ah allows one to perform whatever Nafl one is capable of day and night. There is great virtue in that. (Abu Hurayrah RA narrates that he heard Rasulullaah SAW saying, "The first thing the slave will be questioned about concerning his deeds on the Day of Qiyamah is his Salah. If it is in order he is successful and victorious. If it is unsound then he has failed and lost. If there is a deficiency in his Fard, then the Rabb Most Blessed and High says, 'See if My slave has any Nafl to make up for the deficiency in his Fard.' Then all the rest of his deeds are treated in the like that." ~Abu Dawud~)

The Makruh times we have mentioned should however be avoided.
