Reciting the Qur'aan by the Deceased is Makrooh before the Bath

Q: Janaa'iz-39: Can the Qur'aan be recited by the side of the deceased before the body is bathed?

Answer: It is Makrooh to recite the Qur'aan at the side of the deceased before the bath is given. one may however engage in Tasbeeh. The prohibition is because the deceased can easily be soiled with urine or stool. It is permissible to recite the Qur'aan in another room or some distance away from the body. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
