Question 120) - What is the ruling of Azan in Shari'ah?

A. Azan is Sunnah Muakkadah for the five Salah and Jumu'ah and for no other Salah. It has no Shar'i basis for the two Eids Sunan, Nafl; Istisqa [Drought Prayer] or Eclipse Prayer.
