An Imaam who Shaves People's Beards off

Q: Salaah-632: By the grace of Allaah, I am a Haafidh and wish to lead the Taraaweeh salaah. However, vocation is such that I am forced to shave people's beards off. Can I lead the Taraaweeh salaah?

Answer: It is Waajib (compulsory) to wear the beard as long as one's fist. Shaving off one's beard and other people's beards off is Haraam and renders one a Faasiq. However, if you repent and resolve never to do so every again, you may lead the Taraaweeh salaah. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
