Acts that are Makrooh for the Imaam to Perform

Q: Salaah-677: As his hands remain folded during salaah, the lmaam repeatedly passes his hand over his beard and face and also pulls at his Kurta. He also adjusts his trousers in Ruku before proceeding for Sajdah. What is the ruling concerning performing salaah behind him?

Answer: It is necessary for an Imaam and a Muqtadi to refrain from such futile acts during salaah. Such acts are Makrooh and when they are excessive (Amal Katheer), they nullify the salaah.4 And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
