Something Falling down the Imaam's Throat in salaah

Q: Salaah-715: A fly went into the Imaam's throat as he was leading the salaah and despite coughing, it went down. Will the salaah be valid or will it have to be repeated?

Answer: The salaah will be valid in the stated case and will not have to be repeated. If a fly enter the throat unintentionally, neither will salaah be nullified nor the fast because one cannot help it. It therefore resembles smoke entering the throat. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
