The Distance of Qasr

Q: Salaah-117: Although I live with my parents in Hansod, I live for up to one and a half years in Jambosar for purposes of employment. The distance between Hansod and Jambosar is approximately 48 miles. Should I be performing Qasr salaah?

Answer: When travelling from Hansod and Jambosar, you will become a Musaafir as soon as you leave the surroundings of Hansod. It will therefore be necessary for you to perform Qasr salaah.
