Making Ruku rather than Sajdah when Hearing a Sajdah verse

Q: Salaah-141: The Imaam recited a Sajdah verse and proceeded into Sajdah during the Taraweeh salaah. Some followers however thought that he went into Ruku and therefore went into Ruku. Is their salaah and Sajdah valid?

Answer: The followers in the stated case ought to have proceeded into Sajdah from the Ruku. If they did this, the salaah will be valid and the Sajdah Tilaawah will be considered done.
