Making Du'aa after Every Four Rakaahs of the Taraaweeh salaah

Q: Salaah-193: When the Imaam makes du'aa after every four Rakaahs of the Taraaweeh salaah, some people do not join him. Is making du'aa after every four Rakaahs of the Taraaweeh salaah proven from the Ahadeeth?

Answer: The Shari'ah permits the Tarwiha (sitting for awhile between everyn four Rakaahs of the Taraaweeh salaah). During this time, one may engage in Tasbeeh, recitation of the Qur'aan, perform Nafl salaah or just remain silent. Therefore, regarding the congregational du'aa to be necessary and condemning someone who does not participate is wrong. There is no prohibition against making du'aa individually.
