Q: salaah-211: At the end of the second Rakaah of the Taraaweeh salaah, I stood up and despite being corrected by the followers, I continued to complete the third Rakaah and then proceeded to complete a fourth Rakaah as well. I then ended the four Rakaahs with Sajdah Sahw and proceeded to perform a further eighteen Rakaahs. I did not break for a Tarwiha after those four Rakaahs, as if counting only two as Taraaweeh and the other two as Nafl. Are the two Rakaahs regarded as Taraaweeh or not? Are all four not to be regarded as Nafl? Must the two Rakaahs be repeated and if so, must they be repeated individually or in Jamaa'ah?

Answer: You were wrong not to heed the correction because it was necessary for you to sit at the time. However, the Taraaweeh salaah will be valid since you did perform the Sajdah Sahw and there is no need to repeat the salaah.
