If Sleep is Overpowering at the Time of the Taraaweeh salaah

Q: Salaah-212: If sleep is so overpowering at the time of the Taraaweeh salaah that it is not expelled even by sprinkling water over the face, can a person return home to sleep without performing the Taraaweeh salaah in congregation?

Answer: He may go home. There is no harm in doing so because it is Makrooh to perform salaah when sleep is overpowering. He should of course complete the missed Rakaahs of the Taraaweeh salaah after sleeping as long as it is done before dawn.
