Question 1032) - A man hired an animal to carry a named type and weight of an item e.g. 5 Qafiz of wheat. Can he load 5 Qafiz of something else besides wheat on it?

A: He can load whatever is of the same or lesser burden than wheat e.g. barley and sesame. He may not load that which is a greater burden than wheat, e.g. salt, iron and read. similarly if he hired it to carry a certain weight of cotton he may not load it with iron, even if it be the same weight mentioned.
