Question 1875) - What is the ruling if a man killed a woman; or a woman killed a man; or an adult killed a minor; or a healthy person killed a blind man/ chronically ill/ insane/ one who lost limbs?

A: Retaliation will occur in all these cases. Allaah says, "We had decreed upon them that a life for a life and an eye for an eye and a nose for a nose and an ear for an ear and a tooth for a tooth and retaliation for wounds." [a l-Maidah:a5]
