The Bones of the Ambiya Alyhissalaam.

Q: Imaan-38: In a booklet, Imaam Hasan Khaalis Askari relates an incident of the time when there was a drought in Surra man Ra?aa. According to the instruction of the Khalifah of the time, the people made du?aa for rain, but still no rain fell. It was only when a monk made du?aa that rain started to fall. This was because the monk had in his hand some bones of a Nabi Alyhissalaatuwassalam. The question arise: Were the bones really those of some? Nabi Alyhissalaatuwassalam or of anyone else? Where did the monk get them from? What is the proof of them being those of a Nabi Alyhissalaatuwassalam? Please furnish a reply to these questions that keep arising.

Answer: The Ahadeeth make it clear that the Ambiya Alyhissalaam are alive in their graves, where they perform salaah and even receive sustenance.Allaah has forbidden the earth from consuming their bodies. The narration can therefore not be authentic.? If it is proven to have an authentic chain of narrators, it may then have happened that some part of Nabi Alyhissalaatuwassalam?s body, perheps a finger, was severd before his death and preserved by someone. The example is like that of Rasulullah SAW?s nails and hair that people kept during his lifetime and still have it to this day. And allah knows best what is most correct.
