Making s Ta'ziya of an inanimate Object

Q: Imaan-63 : If a Ta'ziya is made of something inanimate such as the Kabah Madinah the blessed tomb of Rasulullaah SAW. Etc. why should this not be permissible?

Answer: The condition for the permissibility of images and figures of inanimate objects is that they are not worshipped or accorded such honour that the Shari'ah does not allow'. When making images of the Kabah, people do not worship it, do not make Tawaaf around it, do not take oaths in it's name and do not accord it the reverence and respect that they give to the real Kabah. However people who make the Ta'ziya, prostrate to it, make Tawaaf around it and ask their needs from it. It is for this reason that it is not permissible to make this and to keep it hanging in one's house. In fact, if such practises were attached to the images of the Kabah and other inanimate objects, these will also be forbidden.

Allaama Ibn Taymiyyah RAH. wrote in his Fataawaas that just as it is necessary to show contempt to idols, it is also necessary to do the same for everything that is shown undue respect (to the point of worship), regardless of whether it be a place, a point in The time, a tree or a stone.
