Will the water of a Pond Remain Pure if a Non-Muslim Stepped in it

Q: Taharaat-4: A Hindu carpenter's tool fell in our Jaami Masjid and he stepped into the pond to retrieve it. Is the water pure or not? It was full at the time.

Answer: If the area of the pond is ten by ten. it will fall into the category of running water. It will therefore remain pure as long as there is no visible sign of impurity in it. It will not be impure as long as there is no change to the smell, taste and colour of the water. The pond in question will therefore be pure and there is no need to harbour any doubts. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
