Reciting Surah Yaaseen at times of Difficulties

Q: Imaan-89 : People gather daily after the Isha salaah in our Masjid to complete a recitation of Surah Yaaseen. Is this not an act of Bid'ah?

Answer: It is through experience that the saints have found the recitation of Surah Yaaseen beneficial in gaining blessings and securing protection against calamities. They have therefore prescribed its collective completion as an effective remedy. This practice should, however, not be regarded as Masnoon and people who do not participate in it should lever be criticised or looked down upon. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
