Urinating or Passing Stool on a Paper

Q: Taharaat-13: It is a custom in Bombay for mothers to spread out a Paper on the ground for their children to pass urine or stool. Is this permissible? Is it permissible on plain paper?

Answer: This custom is wrong and must be stopped. It is forbidden to do this regardless of whether the paper has writing or not. Paper deserves to be respected because it is an instrument of learning.
