A Second Objection

Q: Taharaat-39: Given that the blood is not that of Nifaas, how will the Woman?s be classified as a Ma'zoor when she will become a Ma'zoor only when the blood flows throughout the time of a salaah, without her having any opportunity in between tc make wudhu and perform salaah. In this case, she was not a Ma'zoor (but had been in the state of purity) when the time for the salaah started and the bleeding had therefore not spanned the entire duration of a salaah time. How will she then perform salaah without first becoming pure when she is not a Ma'zoor?

Answer: The woman must regard herself as a Ma'zoor in the above situation and will not be allowed to miss her salaah. It is a different case if the blood does not flow afterwards. in which case she will no longer remain a Ma'zoor end will therefore not need to repeat her salaah.

Discussing the case of a Ma'zaor. Shaami states that if the time for a Fardh obligatory) salaah arrives, the Ma'zoor should wait until the last time for salaah. If the blood does not stop even by then, she should perform wudhu and perform salaah. If the blood then stops during the time for the next salaah, she should repeat the previous salaah. However, if the blood flows throughout the duration of the next salaah, she will then be classified as a Ma'zoor and will not have to repeat the previous salaah. The case of the lady in question is the same. The blood will be regarded as istihaadha and will therefore not prevent her from performing salaah. And Allaah knows best that is most correct.

By the grace of Allaah, the Mufti Sahib was satisfied with this reply and did not question the issue further.
