Will a Bath be Necessary when Semen is Discharged after Masturbating?

Q: Taharaat-44: I have a friend who is in the habit of masturbating and not taking a bath afterwards. When he urinates after masturbation, no semen emerges, because of which he claims that a bath is not necessary. Please clarify whether a bath is necessary or not.

Answer: Masturbating for pleasure is Haraam and attracts Allaah's curse. Because semen was discharged with pleasure, a bath will be Waajib (compulsory), regardless of whether semen emerged with the urine afterwards or not. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
