Will Wudhu and Ghusl be Valid when the Hair is Dyed?

Q: Taharaat-59: someone dyed his white hair black. Is this in order? Will his wudhu and Ghusl be valid? If dying the hair is permissible, what type of dye should be used?

Answer: It is a grave sin to dye the hair black. Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas RADI. Reports that Rasulullaah SAW. said Towards the end of time people will dye their hair black like the breasts of pigeons. such people will not even smell the fragrance of Jannah.

One may however dye the hair red or in the colour of henna. Now if some happened to dye their hair black despite the sin involved, wudhu and Ghusl will be valid on condition that the dye cl0es not prevent water from reaching the hairs. However, if it is impermeable, wudhu and Ghusl will not be valid And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
