A Follower Corrected the Imaam after he had Already Recited the Necessary Amount of Qiraa'ah

Q: Salaah-17: An Imaam had already recited the amount of Qiraa'ah that Is Waajib compulsory)to be recited when he got stuck. He was corrected by a Musalli and accepted the correction, after which he completed the salaah. Is the salaah valid?

Answer: Worshippers should not be hasty to correct when an Imaam errs or gets stuck. It is Makrooh and forbidden to correct the Imaam as soon as he errs or gets stuck. If the Imaam has already recited the amount of Qiraa'ah that is Waajib (compulsory) when he errs or gets stuck, he should proceed into Ruku or recite from another portion of the Qur'aan. It is wrong for him to remain standing or to repeat his words so as to compel the followers to correct him. Nevertheless, when someone does correct the Imaam and he accepts the correction, the salaah will be valid and it will not be necessary to repeat the salaah. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
