Clearing the Throat During Salaah

Q: Salaah-132: Is salaah nullified by clearing the throat during salaah?

Answer: It is Makrooh to clear the throat unnecessarily during salaah. There Is however no harm if it is done for a reason, e.g. when one's voice or breath stops and it becomes difficult to recite the Qur'aan without clearing the throat. The condition is that no letter should be pronounced when clearing the throat. If when clearing the throat or when coughing, a letter was pronounced (e.g. 'Ah'), the salaah will be nullified if one could have helped not to utter it. However, if one could not help it, the salaah will not be nullified.
