Can a Woman recite Wazas'if when Menstruating?

Q: Salaah-87: Although a woman may not perform salaah or recite Qur'aan when menstruating, can she recite Wazaa'if?

Answer: Apart from salaah and reciting Qur'aan, a menstruating woman may continue with her Dhikr and Wazaa'if. In fact, it is Mustahab for her to make wudhu at the time of every salaah and to then sit on her Musalla and for the duration of the salaah to recite:

ASTAG FIRULLAAHILL LADHI LAA ILAAHAA ILLAA HUWAL HAYYUL KAYYUM.

For doing this. the reward of a thousand Rakaahs of salaah will be recorded in her book of deeds together with seventy thousand sins being forgiven and her stages being elevated. She will also receive light for every word of this that she recites and for every blood vessel in her body she will receive the reward of a Hajj and Umrah.
