Reciting Durood in the First Sitting of the Sunnah Mu'akkadah and Nafl salaahs

Q: Salaah-76: Can Durood be recited in the first sitting of the four Sunnah Ghayr Mu'akkadah Rakaahs that are performed before the Asr and Isha salaahs? Will Sajdah Sahw be necessary if Durood is recited?

Answer: Sajdah Sahw will not be necessary when Durood is recited in the first sitting of the four Sunnah Ghayr Mu'akkadah Rakaahs that are performed before the Asr and Isha salaahs and also during any other Nafl salaah. Apart from the Sunnah Mu'akkadah Rakaahs before the Zuhr and Jumu'ah salaahs and the four Rakaahs after the Jumu'ah salaah, Durood may be recited in the first sitting of all other four Sunnah Ghayr Mu'akkadah Rakaahs and Nafl salaahs. In fact, Thanaa may also be recited in the third Rakaahs of all these salaahs. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
