Adhaan on a Tape Recorder

Q: Salaah-324: If the Adhaan is recorded on a tape recorder and played Before every salaah, will it be valid? Will the salaah performed after such an Adhaan be valid?

Answer: The Adhaan played over a tape recorder is not valid and will have to be repeated. If the Adhaan is not repeated in a proper fashion after the Adhaan on the tape recorder, the salaah will be regarded as a salaah performed without Adhaan. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
