Can the Loudspeaker be Used When People are Unable to hear the Takbeer despite Appointing Mukabbirs?

Q: Salaah-701 : The Fatwa issued in Fataawaa Raheemiyyah concerning the use of the loudspeaker for salaah was well substantiated and practicable. However, what we wish to query is that in large Tablighi Ijtimas (gatherings), people in the back rows are often left confused even though Mukabbirs are appointed to relay the Takbeers. It also often happens that people's salaah becomes nullified is there permission to use the loudspeaker in such cases?

Answer: An act of Ibaadah as important as salaah should be carried out in the simple and blessed manner in which our pious predecessors carried it out. In the stated case, it will be permissible for the Mukabbir closest to the Imaam to use the loudspeaker. This will dispel the problem. One may also use the little microphones that are available nowadays and which attach to the neck. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
