Adding the phrase, RADI. to the Names of the Ambiyaa ALY. in the Khutbah

Q: Salaah-704: In the second Khutbah of Jumu'ah, the Khateeb recites certain Ahadeeth concerning the Sahabah RADI. such as Hadhrat Abu Bakr RADI. When taking their names, should he add the phrase RADI. There is an Aalim who says that only the name without the phrase "'RADI." should be mentioned because Rasulullaah SAW. did not use the phrase when mentioning these Ahadeeth. Therefore, adding the phrase is tantamount to adding to the words of Rasulullaah SAW. Please clarify.

Answer: After mentioning the names of the Khulafaa Raashideen or any other Sahabah RADI. in the second Jumu'ah Khutbah. it is perfectly permissible to say "RADI." after their individual names or (RADIALLAAHU ANHUM- AJMA?EEN) or (RADIALLAAHU ALAYAHEEM AJMA?EEN)? after all their names. Saying so is Mustahab and is not tantamount to adding to the words of Rasulullaah SAW. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
