Reciting a Surah after Surah Faatiha

Q: Salaah-351: If a long verse is recited after the Surah Faatiha, will the obligation of Qiraa'ah be fulfilled? Will the obligation be discharged if half of the long verse is recited?

Answer: After Surah Faatiha, it is Waajib (compulsory) to recite:

> A short Surah such as surah kowthar
> Three short verses such as:
> A long verse
> Two verses that are as long as three short verses
> A part of a long verse that is as long as three short verses.

And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
