If the Muqtadi makes Salaam before the Imaam

Q: Salaah-374: Will a person's salaah be valid if he makes the Salaam before the Imaam? Will his salaah merely be deficient or will he need to repeat it? Should he repeat the Salaam with the Imaam?

Answer: If it is done without an excuse valid in the Shari'ah, his salaah will be Makrooh, yet valid. He must then make the Salaam with the Imaam. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
