Tying a Turban for Salaah

Q: Salaah-386: Our Imaam leads the salaah without a turban most of the time. Is this correct?

Answer: If the turban is part of the Imaam's dress and he is usually not seen in gatherings and public places without it, it wouuld be Makrooh Tanzeehi for him to lead the salaah without the turban. However, if he usually does not wear a turban, it would not be Makrooh for him to lead the salaah without it. It is Mustahab to lead the salaah with a turban. However, the Imaam should sometimes lead the salaah without it so that people should not think that it is obligatory. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
