Playing with the Clothing and Beard in Salaah

Q: Salaah-409: After staring the salaah, our Imaam passes his hand over his beard and face and continuously puts his Kurta right. After getting up from Ruku, he pulls up his housers before proceeding for Sajdah. What is the ruling concerning doing all of this during salaah? Will the salaah be Makrooh?

Answer: The Imaam should refrain from such acts because they render the salaah Makrooh. When they become excessive (Amal Katheer), they will even lead to the salaah being nullified. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
