Reciting a Few verses after the Sajdah Tilaawah before the Ruku

Q: Salaah-466: In the Maghrib salaah, our Imaam recited Surah Alaq and then proceeded straight into Ruku. He claims that his action complied perfectly with the Sunnah. Is this claim correct? Please clarify.

Answer:? The onus is on your Imaam to prove that it is in conformance with the Sunnah to proceed into Ruku immediately, without reciting any other verses. The Fuqahaa state that although the salaah is valid, it will be Makrooh to proceed into Ruku without first reciting a few verses of the Qur'aan after getting up from the Sajdah Tilaawah.3 And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
