Completing the Qur?aan in Turns in every person's House after the Taraaweeh salaah

Q: Salaah-458: It is the practice in our village that the Qur'aan is completed in every person's house after the Taraaweeh salaah during the month of Ramadhaan. Everyone goes to every house in turn where the Qur'aan is completed. Please clarify this practice because people are in doubt about it.

Answer: This practice is not recommended and should rather be forsaken. People should rather recite the Qur'aan individually and if they really wish to do so collectively, they may congregate (without specifying every person's house) and recite some portion of the Qur'aan to each other so that those who can recite well may correct the recitation of those who cannot. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
