Performing Salaah after an Operation

Q: Salaah-573: I have had an eve operation and when I bend my neck for Ruku and Sajdah, I experience unbearable pain. What is the ruling concerning my Ruku and Sajdah?

Answer: If you are truly experiencing unbearable pain when you bend your neck for Ruku and Sajdah, you may sit and perform salaah. performing the Ruku and Sajdah by indications of the head. The indication for the Ruku should be more pronounced than that for the Sajdah. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
