Performing the Eid salaah in the Local Masjid for Good Reason

Q: Salaah-545: The people in charge of the Eid Gah in the Nowsaari district have announced that because of rains, the Eid salaah will not be performed at the Eid Gah. Now since the Jaami Majid is not large enough to accommodate all the people, we intend performing the Eid salaah at our local Zakariyyah Masjid. We have never before perform either th? Jumu'ah salaah or the Eid salaah in this Masjid. Can we proceed?

Answer: It will be permissible without any harm to perform the Eid salaah at this Masjid. However, performing the Jumu'ah or Eid salaahs without any valid excuse at this Masjid would be wrong. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
