Repeating a Portion of Surah Faatiha

Q: Salaah-513: Will Sajdah Sahw be necessary if the Imaam recited Surah Faatiha up to (MALIKI YAVMIDDEEN) and then started to recite the Surah Faatiha all over from the beginning? While Zaid say that repeating even a single verse will necessitate Sajdah sahw,, Bakr says that reciting all of Surah Faatiha after more than half a Surah will necessitate Sajdah Sahw. Please decide who is correct?

Answer: Omitting even a single verse of Surah Faatiha will make Sajdah sahw Wajib (compulsory) . Sajdah Sohur will also be Waajib (compulsory) if Surah Faatiha is repeated or if more than half was recited and then repeated. In the above instance, Sajdah Sahw' will not be necessary if Surah Faatiha was repeated after reciting up to or (MALIKI YAVMIDDEEN) This applies in all those Rakaahs in which the recitation of Surah Faatiha is Waajib (compulsory). It does not apply to those Rakaahs in which Surah Faatiha is not Waajib (compulsory). And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
