When an Imaam Sits Down after being corrected by the Followers

Q: Salaah-519: An Imaam stands up after Tashahhud in the final Qa'dah or after the second Rakaah when he ought to be sitting in Qa'dah. He then sits down immediately upon being corrected by the followers. Will Sajdah Sahw be necessary in either case?

Answer: In both cases, Sajdah Sahw will not be necessary if the Imaam sat down when he was closer to the sitting posture. It will however be necessary if he sat down when he was already standing up or closer to the standing posture. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
