How Does a Hanafi Imaam Lead a Shaafi'ee follower?

Q: Salaah-27: Although I am a Hanafi, I teach in a Shaafi'ee Madrassah, where I sometimes lead them in salaah where the recitation has to be audible. Will there be any harm if after reciting Surah Faatiha, I pause for a while so that they can quickly recite Surah Faatiha?

Answer: It is not permissible for a Hanafi to delay the recitation of a Suraah in this manner. If done, the salaah will have to be repeated. Sajdah Sahw will also not suffice because the act is intentional and not done in error. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
