The Position of the Fingers during Sajdah and Qa'dah

Q:Salaah-55: Should the fingers be kept together or apart when sitting in Qa'dah and when in Sajdah?

Answer: In Ruku, it is Masnoon for a male to keep the fingers of both hands spread apart as he grips the knees. In Sajdah, the fingers should be kept tightly together with the tips pointing towards the Qibla. Apart from these two postures, the fingers should be kept in their natural position in all other postures; neither tight nor spread apart. And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
