Joining Ta'awwudh with a Surah

Q: Salaah-62: What is the ruling concerning joining Ta'awwudh with a Surah?

Answer: It is permissible, but it is necessary to know when the two should be joined and when not to avoid making a mistake and being sinful.

RULE: When recitation is starting from the Surah, the following four situations are permissible: (1) stopping after Ta'awwudh and then stopping again after Bismillaah before commencing the Surah. (2) Joining the Ta'awwudh, Bismillaah and the Surah, (3) Stopping after the Ta'awwudh, but then joining Bismillaah with the Surah, (4) Joining Ta'awwudh and Bismillaah and then stopping before commencing the Surah.
