Can a Corpse be placed on a Cushion inside the Bier?

Q: Janaa'iz-9: When placing the corpse in the bier. can the corpse be placed on a cushion inside the bier? Normally a straw mat is used, but since there is a cushion available in the house, will it be necessary to purchase a straw mat? Can a cushion be used and is it then necessary to hand it over to the Imaam or to the Masjid afterwards?

Answer: There is no necessity to have either a cushion or a straw mat when placing the corpse in the bier The deceased may be lifted in his Kafan and placed in the grave from the bier Ii at all necessary. a sheet may sometimes be used. which can then be used for personal use afterwards. It is not necessary to donate it as Sadaqah And Allaah knows best what is most correct.
